Release of pak128.Britain 1.12

A new version of pak128.Britain is now available. This contains the following major additions and changes:
– Lots of new city buildings
– More planes (Milko)
– More modern buses (Mattw62)
– More DMU trains, steam locomotives and carriages (jamespetts)
– Complete narrow gauge railway vehicle set (jamespetts)
– Narrow gauge stations
– Updated way graphics (kierongreen)
– New station extensions (jamespetts)

There have been a number of changes to the railway carriages. Existing saves should not be broken, but trains may not restart after returning to a depot as many of the constraints have changed. Do report any bugs relating to this or anything else in the forum as usual.

Happy playing!

Pak128.Britain 1.10 released

Just in time for Christmas, a new version of pak128.Britain is out today.  Included in the new release, appropriately, are more snow images for stations and HQs (meaning 99% of the set now has snow graphics), along with a wide range of new road and rail bridges, and a large set of new medieval attractions courtesy of wlindley.

You can download the new verion from Sourceforge… Enjoy!

PS Please report any bugs on the International Simutrans Forum.

The bridges of pak128.Britain

steel truss bridge, by The Hood

The Hood, maintainer of Pak128.Britain is working hard to bring more bridges to the pakset.

An example, a steel truss bridge in player colour, can be seen to the left.

The result, which is outstanding, can be seen in the forum. In final form they could be seen in the next version of the pakset, which is likely to be released before spring.

– basic narrow gauge
– more ships and trains
– more citybuildings and attractions
– some player colour stations
– player barriers

New releases of pak64.japan and Pak128.Britain-Ex

Good news for all pakset lovers, we have new releases of old well known paksets.

The Simutrans experimental development team has released a new version of the pak128.Brittain-Ex. The v0.7 seems to be a testing and evaluation version, but it should balance better with Simutrans-Experimental than the standard Pak128.Britain. The dev team has done a great deal of work on balancing this pakset since version 0.6, so it should work considerably better. As a side note, it doesn’t support all Simutrans-Experimental features yet.

You can download it here. More details at International Simutrans Forum.

pak64.japanOn the other hand, the pak64.japan is back after major overhaul. The content is under a mixture of licenses so it won’t be hosted at Sourceforge, but the binaries and the source are available here. Besides, the texts are available for translation at Simutranslator.

More details at International Simutrans Forum.
