Simutrans ingame help online

The ingame help is one of the primary help sources in Simutrans. Thanks to Frank’s efforts the ingame help files are now directly accessible via web-browser. Go to Simutrans InGame Help Online site and choose the language.

This is just a viewer, so if you want to write new help files or modify the existing ones, use SimuTranslator. It might be also useful for people who want to print out the help files…

Downsize objects from pak128 to pak64

Recently we have discovered an awesome tool that was hidden at japanese.simutrans.com links section.

Its name is Resizeobj and it allows you to port almost every kind of object from pak128 scale to pak64 scale, with very good results. Take a look..

resizeobj test

resizeobj test

It’s a command line tool for Windows with several parameters that allow you to set the amount of anti-aliasing, special night colors and the image size among other things. You can convert vehicles too. The windows binary and the source code are available for downloading at resizeobj homepage.

P.S: For non-japanese speakers, I recommend to use an online translator as the whole website is in japanese.

Simutrans experimental now at the Wikipedia.

wikipediaI’m proud to announce that Simutrans experimental, the young fork of Simutrans, now has its own space at Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Right know there’s only a short text talking about the new features, but we expect it will grow adding more information about the project. I’m sure it will turn into a good showcase for this burgeoning fork.

Feel free to add new content to the article, or rewrite any of the texts…

Files.Simutrans.US

This is a resource intended for the Simutrans community. It’s easy to upload multiple files using the Flash interface, and for each file you get a direct link you can use – for example, you can upload multiple images, copy the direct URLs, and put “[img]” tags around them to post on the forum.

The basic rule is: Please only use this for Simutrans-related files.

If you have any troubles with the site, please let me know on the forum! :-)
